It is now said that NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070 (Non-Ti) graphics card will supposedly launch on April 13, which lines up with previous rumors.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card set to hit retail shelves in April according to rumors
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 will be the latest addition to the RTX 40 “Ada” family that was introduced last year. Twitter Filter, Hongxing2020reveals that the card’s release date will be April 13, which is still over a month away, but lines up with previous rumors that pointed to an April release.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 “rumored” graphics card specs
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is expected to feature the AD104-250/251 GPU core. The GPU will feature 5888 CUDA cores and 12 GB GDDR6X VRAM running at 21 Gbps. It seems there are three PCBs designed for GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards, two of which we had pointed out last month and another has been revealed by kopite7kimi. Two of these are for the reference cards, while one is for the Founders Edition, as detailed below:
- PG141-SKU343 RTX 4070 Reference Edition AD104-250-A1
- PG141-SKU344 RTX 4070 Founders Edition AD104-250-A1
- PG141-SKU345 RTX 4070 Reference Edition AD104-251-A1
Below is a comparison of all known Ada GPU dies for desktop graphics cards. (Credits to MEGAsizeGPU/TechpowerUP GPU Database for AD102/AD103/AD104 shots.)
The graphics card is expected to feature a 200W TGP which featured a 220W TGP, so you’ll get a 10% reduction in power. Also, another interesting thing to note is that the GeForce RTX 4070 core configuration is very similar to the RTX 3070, which also boasts 5888 cores, but the successor houses the Ada GPU core, which should not only provide additional performance but also higher efficiency. The card also reportedly has a base clock rate of 1920 MHz and a boost clock rate of 2475 MHz, giving it around 30 TFLOPs of computing power.
When it comes to pricing, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 will most likely be closer to $600; otherwise, there will be a huge price difference between the Ti and Non-Ti variants. The 4070 Ti starts at $799, so the RTX 4070 may also be priced at $599, which will be a $100 increase over its predecessor, the $499 RTX 3070. . NVIDIA has started phasing out the old inventory of the RTX 30 FE (Founders Edition). which might be our first hint that this news might be legit.
