NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition (FE) graphics cards are suddenly not available for sale on the official NVIDIA webstore. Currently, the only way to purchase those cards is through third-party vendors unrelated to the company, Cowcotland reports. The GPUs seem to be missing from NVIDIA’s US and French websites, which may indicate that the company has removed the cards from current sales.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition (FE) GPUs disappear from charts
The sudden disappearance of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition graphics card could be because FE stocks are running low and NVIDIA wants to focus more on AIB models as there are still plenty on store shelves.
In addition to Founders Edition graphics cards, some RTX 3080 graphics cards and some mid-tier GPUs are also missing from the charts, but this doesn’t mean the company has removed any trace of partner retailers. Best Buy is reportedly still selling NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in Founders Edition flavors and RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition graphics cards are also available, but to purchase them you need to go to one of the retailer’s physical locations to shop.
With the cost of next-gen graphics cards plummeting in recent months, this could be the start of NVIDIA quietly replacing older cards with newer variants. We know that the company is working to introduce more mainstream models such as the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 series in the coming months, which should effectively replace the RTX 3070 and 3060 series of cards.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 will continue to be available in various SKUs and flavors for some time as there is still a lot of stock left to clear, but as far as the Founders Edition variants are concerned, they may end soon. With that being said, all of these cards are now available below their MSRP.
