New Warzone 2.0 Update Prioritizes Packs Over Enhancements | digital trends

Activision launched a new blog highlighting what to expect from Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Reloaded, the game’s mid-season update. While modern warfare 2 you’ll get a decent amount of content during season 2 reloaded, the same can’t be said for war zone 2.0which has had issues with updates since its release.

The battle royale game is plagued with issues, and the blog post does not mention anything about implementing fixes during Season 2 Reloaded. Instead, Activision is pushing its store packs, which is leaving a bad taste in the mouths of some fans.

Advertising in-game purchases isn’t necessarily a bad thing, even more so for a free-to-play title like war zone 2.0. However, the decision raises questions about Activision’s priorities, as the company currently appears to be looking more for revenue than fixing the experience. Inside the post, the store packs take up a considerable amount of space, and while some of them are great (like Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Activision has yet to earn the right to sell us cosmetics.

war zone 2.0 it still has fundamental gameplay issues such as crashes, a heavily criticized UI, and even the overbearing KV Broadside shotgun, which is currently considered one of the most powerful weapons in Warzone history.

It’s worth noting that balance changes and improvements are almost certain to come during Season 2 Reloaded. But Activision’s decision to announce store packs feels a bit out of place considering the blog doesn’t assure the community that fixes are on the way. It would have been very helpful to mention that changes and improvements are being made to the game to reassure the community that the developers are listening. As it stands, the community still doesn’t know anything about it.
