G.Skill has released its first non-binary Trident Z5 DDR5 memory kit offering 48GB capacities with speeds of up to 8000Mbps.
G.Skill Introduces 48GB Trident Z5 Memory Kit Offering DDR5-8000 CL38 Speeds
Since the release of the new 24Gb ICs, memory manufacturers have introduced new 24GB and 48GB memory kits that are now available for sale. G.Skill has also jumped on the bandwagon and offers its own kits although the manufacturer only has a 48GB kit that is made up of two 24GB modules at the moment. We can expect the manufacturer to further expand its 24GB and 48GB portfolio (with faster speeds) in the coming months, offering better specs for both Intel and AMD platforms.
Press release: G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., the world’s leading brand of PC components and performance overclocking memory, announces an extreme performance DDR5 memory kit based on the latest 24GB module capacity, with a specification of DDR5-8000 CL38-48-48 to 48 GB (24 GBx2) under the flagship Trident Z5 RGB series, and sets a new bar for extremely overclocked memory with 24 GB capacity modules.
Extreme memory speed with overclocking DDR5-8000 to 48 GB (24 GBx2)
Always exploring the limits of DDR5 memory speed, G.SKILL R&D team has successfully achieved an amazing 48GB (24GBx2) DDR5-8000 CL38-48-48 kit with the newest 24 GB capacity modules. Please see the screenshot below to see this memory kit in action with the ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Motherboard and Intel Core i9-13900K processorachieving an incredible 123.76 GB/s read, 120.75 GB/s write, and 118.02 GB/s copy speeds on the AIDA64 memory bandwidth benchmark.
* Memory bandwidth test results may vary due to hardware configurations, BIOS versions, system settings, or test parameters.
Availability and compatibility with Intel XMP 3.0
This new memory kit specification is compatible with Intel XMP 3.0 and will be released to G.SKILL’s worldwide distribution partners starting in April 2023. Pricing has yet to be confirmed.
