RoboCop: Rogue City Gameplay Trailer Is Packed With Brutal Cyborg Action

The first gameplay trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City arrived as part of the Nacon Connect event, showcasing the iconic cyborg’s talents for keeping the peace in Old Detroit. Unsurprisingly, the city streets are dirty and full of violent criminals following their own criminal directives. Fortunately, RoboCop packs plenty of firepower under his durable titanium shell, signature targeting system, and a tedder fueled by multi-billion dollars of OCP research and development.

This version of RoboCop even has an ability that his movie incarnations lacked, in that he is able to accelerate and close distance relatively quickly. You can check out all the carnage and atmospheric details below, but if you’re looking to see RoboCop commit serious bodily harm below the criminal belt, you’re going to be disappointed.

Based on the 1987 film of the same name and scheduled for a 2023 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, RoboCop: Rogue City is being developed by Rambo: The Video Game, Steel Empire, and Terminator: Resistance studio Teyon. Peter Weller is reprising his role in the game, and the game’s story features “an all-new explosive first-person search for the truth” as he decides the best way for RoboCop to fulfill his prime directives.

Several other games from Nacon’s upcoming release schedule were also included in his presentation, including new looks at The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and the psychological horror title Ad Infinitum.
