The second season of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 adds the crossbow weapon as a reward for completing the season’s Path of the Ronin limited-time event. Here we will guide you to complete all the challenges required to unlock the new crossbow.
What is the Path of the Ronin event?
Adapting the Japanese theme of the season with the Ashika Island map and the Ronin operator, Season 2 added Path of the Ronin as a limited-time event. This is much like previous Call of Duty seasonal events with a series of challenges to complete in multiplayer and Warzone 2.
The challenges are based on the Seven Bushido Virtues: Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Sincerity and Loyalty. Each challenge comes with a reward for completing it, such as XP or a weapon charm.
You will need to complete all seven event challenges to unlock the crossbow as the final reward.
Path of the Ronin Event Challenges
Integrity challenge:
Multiplayer: Win 15 games in any multiplayer game mode.
Warzone 2: Get five Top 10 results.
The best advice for multiplayer or battle royale is to have fun with friends. Team Deathmatch will be faster than some of the objective modes, but you’ll want to make sure you have teammates to help you out.
Honor Challenge:
Multiplayer: Get 100 kills per objective defense.
Warzone 2: Collect your nameplate (Restore Honor) 5 times.
For multiplayer, Hardpoint and Domination are the best modes to complete this challenge. Just sit in the Hot Spot or Domination Point and get as many kills as you can.
In Warzone 2, Restoring Honor is the new feature that drops your dog tag on death, so you’ll want to return to your death location once you respawn in the match. Just check for any enemies that might be nearby before grabbing your tag.
Honesty Challenge:
Multiplayer: Get 50 Operator kills using Battle Rage.
Warzone 2: Complete five assassination contracts.
For multiplayer, you’ll want a melee weapon like a submachine gun or shotgun to pair with Battle Rage. The wording says “operator kills” so you’ll need to make sure your kills are human opponents and not AI enemies in Invasion mode.
For Assassination Contracts, it will be better to try it in trios or squads to improve your odds. If someone on your team wins the elimination, it counts towards your challenge progress.
The remaining challenges will be unlocked in the next 6-13 days.

Once you complete all seven challenges, the crossbow will unlock for you. This weapon is described as quiet, nimble, and customizable. The standard 20″ crossbow bolts are retrievable and are also not detected by enemy trophy systems.
