Ed-Tech Reliability in AI: The Future
The following article has been inspired by the thoughts of Mr. mayank srivastava. He is the founder of Experts’ Global, one of the world’s leading EdTech firms in the field of GMAT preparation and MBA Admission Consulting
Educational technology, or Ed-tech, the more preferred term, is the disruptive phenomenon that will soon transform the education system as we know it. The flexibility of our education system has allowed technology to gradually enter the domain, over the past two decades, with the introduction of innovative tools such as search engines, video streaming, live webinars, etc.
However, with the collaboration of AI and Ed-Tech, we look forward to a future where the academic landscape will be elevated to include smart, efficient and effective learning tools. This technological disruption will particularly benefit Asian countries by making quality education easily accessible to all.
To better understand how Ed-Tech will influence our academic structure, we need to understand how artificial intelligence stands to enable Ed-Tech in its task of bringing about the desired change in the education domain.
Enabling the individualized learning experience
Administering a comprehensive educational curriculum to one and all does not account for an individual’s comprehension and analytical abilities or help to adequately identify a student’s distinctive interest in a particular discipline. Educators realize that each student has an aptitude for particular disciplines, but they cannot employ any practical solution to bully each student with an individualized learning experience.
Administering an individualized curriculum to each student is an almost impossible task. In this context, machine learning comes in handy with its unique data mining capability: reading individual behavior helps AI to formulate a learning program that identifies with specific learning requirements. To cite one example, machine learning will analyze a student’s performance on a given exercise, identify skills and weaknesses, and recommend techniques to resolve the weaknesses, before advancing to the next stage of learning.
If any case analysis returns a negative response to the weakness analysis, the tool will approve the move to the next stage. Thus, students will be able to focus on one aspect of learning at a time, master that one, and then move on to the next. Ed-Tech entrepreneurs can rely on AI to design high-end adaptive learning solutions that meet specific learning requirements, as opposed to the general learning curriculum.
Introduction to deep learning
Unlike machine learning, which relies on algorithms, deep learning is a subcategory of machine learning that focuses on learning data representations. This learning tool has been modeled on the basic learning response methodology employed by the human brain. Therefore, deep learning depends on a finely crafted framework comprising neural networks that mimic the information transformation technique of the biological sensory network.
Working on a network of intensive codes that analyze user feedback, deep learning will help people understand the strengths and weaknesses of their cognitive abilities. Based on this result, Ed-Tech can design learning materials, including both content and learning style, that best match individual learning requirements. Ed-Tech therefore has immense potential to influence critical decisions related not only to a career but also to daily activities.
Reducing educators’ tasks, allowing classroom discussions
Educators have a hard time balancing their various tasks of developing curriculum designs, scheduling classes, preparing for lectures, grading, etc. Ed-Tech, powered by AI, can help to significantly automate these various tasks: for example, technology is already helping grading. Similarly, AI can also be trained to grade subjective responses.
In addition, classroom training videos, recorded by subject matter experts, will help educators focus on discussing common ground in class and focus on critical resolving concerns. Importantly, students will gain access to high-quality study material, efficiently organized and relevant to their learning needs. The video sessions will further enable intra- and inter-institutional communication, thus motivating creative thought processes and developing quantitative and logical reasoning skills.

Foster collaborative learning
Technology has already shown that the proper use of its principles can bring the world closer by improving the information dissemination system. Similarly, in the field of education, AI tools can be used to foster interactions beyond the classroom to help enlighten students with a broad spectrum of perspectives.
Collaborative learning is essential because discussions stimulate cognitive processes, thus increasing awareness of existing crises and their possible solutions. No longer will learning be restricted to study material, Ed-Tech promises to make the learning experience engaging.
