As you’re looking to enjoy your new best RTX 4070 Ti, then cooling and size are a consideration. So what temperature should the RTX 4070 Ti run at?
In TechPowerUp’s review, we look at a range of temperatures to expect from the different models. Although they lack the FE card, these custom cards still give us a look at likely ranges.
So we see that the GPU temperatures vary between 59 °C and 71 °C during gameplay. With the hotspot reaching 72°C to 80°C. These are also dependent on the silent or OC BIOS option, but are still in a good place.

In general, graphics cards must operate within safe operating limits to prevent hardware damage. Most graphics cards are equipped with a safe upper temperature of 95 to 100 degrees Celsius.
But running your graphics card at such extreme temperatures for extended periods of time can decrease its lifespan and damage other components in your system.
NVIDIA has developed advanced cooling solutions into its design in order to reduce the heat generated by its graphics cards.
The NVIDIA RTX 40 series uses multiple fans, heat pipes, and vapor chambers, as well as good thermal paste, which provides better thermal conductivity than standard thermal paste.
To ensure your graphics card works safely and stably, please use third-party software like MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision X1. Generally speaking, keeping your graphics card temperature below 85 degrees Celsius helps create a safe and stable operating environment.
