I was setting up my shortcut preferences in my new office and I can’t find the shortcut options. I remember it was edit/(component or group)/flip (green, blue, or red). Has the path changed? I’ve tried looking through the filter keywords (flip, mirror, component, group, red, green, blue) and can’t find anything similar to what I had been creating in my shortcode in the past. I am using sketchup pro 2016.
You can still set keyboard shortcuts for Flip Along commands. It’s the same as always. For context menu items, you must have something selected that causes that item to show up in the menu. So if you want to set Flip Along shortcuts for components, select a component and then open Preferences and configure the shortcut. If you want to set Flip shortcuts for groups, select a group.

Many actions in SketchUp are only available through a context menu: select something, then right-click. To find them and set up a shortcut, you must have a selection that the action corresponds to. Thus:
To assign a shortcut to flip along the axis, use the selection tool and click on an object, then while it’s selected go to your shortcut preferences, find it (I think you’ll find it) and assign it the desired . shortcut.

Update for version 2023.
Shortcut commands for flipping are now global. (When assigning shortcuts, we no longer need to select a group or instance because these commands have been removed from the context menu.)
They have been reduced to 3 commands (both for groups, components and selection sets).
- flip blue
- flip green
- flip red
Assign any shortcut key combination you want.
With these changes comes the new Flip tool…
