Sign in Change for Google users

Hello Educators!

For those of you who use our Google Sign In option when accessing SketchUp for Schools, you may have noticed that the login and authorization windows got a bit of a facelift. This was a recent update started by Google, and while it shouldn’t change your app access or permissions, it does require pop-ups to be enabled in your browser.

Depending on your preferred browser, the way you do this might look a bit different, and below is a sample flow for Google Chrome users.

  1. Go to the Settings menu in your browser and select Privacy and security.
  1. Choose Pop-ups and redirects.
  1. Choose to (a) enable all popups and redirects, or (b) add SketchUp to your list of allowed URLs.

As a reminder, if this is your first time accessing SketchUp for Schools and you’re still not sure if it’s been rolled out for your domain, check out this deployment video guide for instructions on how to get access at your school.

can you help me with a login error

We use SketchUp for Schools on Chromebooks, I can’t get students to use SketchUp even after allowing popups. Any other suggestions?

We are in the same boat. Sketchup is installed for all users on our Google edu domain. I have allowed pop-ups, redirects and cookies. We are still getting the infinite login loop when we try to login. the domain is @scsgrade78.com

March 11 and I still have the problem. I did everything in my power to resolve it, but it keeps stopping me from logging in. Please, SketchUp team, do something. Lots of people are wasting their time.
